A rare and beautiful Mafrash panel (end panel of a bedding-bag) woven by Qashqa'i tribes in south-west Persia during the middle of the 19th century. Particularly attractive are the small stylised animals throughout. This panel would be enhanced by being mounted on a frame.

Antique Timuri 'Cockerel' Bag-Face
A very good example of what are commonly called "Baluch Bird Bags" - most, if not all, are of Timuri origin from western Afghanistan. The beautiful saturated vegetable colours in this bagface combined with the crisp drawing of the cockerels, make this a good collectable piece. This is a bag-face only in very good condition.
